For the first nine National Tournaments, four States of Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Tasmania competed.
South Australia joined 10th ABCC Sydney 1970-71 and West Australia joined 11th ABCC Brisbane 1972-73.
Tasmania dropped out after 12th ABCC Hobart 1974-75 and only competed one more time as a combined team with West Australia at the 15th ABCC Sydney 1980-81.
West Australia competed in their first tournament Brisbane 1972-73 and combined with Tasmania Sydney 1980-81 and competed Adelaide 1984-85 with a reduced team of eight players only.
Australian Capital Territory joined as a combined team with South Australia at the 27th ABCC Sydney 2003-2004.
New Zealand has also competed twice at 20th ABCC Brisbane 1990-91 and 21st ABCC Adelaide 1992-93.
Provincial Team from New Zealand has also competed in two tournaments Sydney 2003-2004 and Brisbane 2005-2006.
You will notice that sequence of tournaments changed 24th ABCC Brisbane 1997-1998.
Decision was taken by States to bring Brisbane Tournament forward by one year to accommodate Australian Squad competing in the First World Cup of Blind Cricket held at New Delhi, India in November/December 1998.
